Paiste Review: 502 Cymbals

Paiste Drums Percussion

History:

Purchase: First I bought a 10 in splash on musiciansfriend.com for about $40 bucks with shipping, then I bought the pre-pack set from musiciansfriend.com, for about $220 with shipping.

What I Like About This Paiste 502 Cymbals: They sound alot better than Zlidgian ZBT-Plus and Sabian B8 Pro, they were fairly cheap, they have a great look/shine too them, and they feel and sound just about right.

What I Do NOT Like About The Paiste 502 Cymbals: About my only complaints are that the hi-hats are kinda ringy at HIGH volumes.

Paiste 502 Cymbals Quality Rating: Pretty good, I like the machining they do, it has a "unique" look to it. The graphics on the cymbals are pretty tough, and they don't get alot of stick marks on them for some reason (might be the factory coating).

Review Summary: I was planning on getting the Sabian B8 Pro's, but after hearing a friend of mines 502's I bought these, I also think Zildgian is getting too big, so I like to stick with the "little" guys.

Rating of this Paiste product: 4

Paiste 302 series 14" Hi-Hats - I would not recommend these to someone even as a beginner who is thinking about playing live or getting serious in a band, because even if they do work for a while, your gonna end up shelling out a lot more a few years down the road for some proffesi...

Paiste PST 5 10" Splash - Paiste knows their sheet bronze, and their lower-line models prove it. I recommend not only this 10" Splash, but the rest of the PST 5 money. Paiste sound and quality at 1/4 of the price. Highly recommended!...

Paiste 2002 Cymbals - Buy 'em. They are pricey, but worth it. Save up, and bring cash like i did, you'll probably get a better deal...

Paiste Rude Thin Crash - These babies are great. They look amazing too. I also have the Power Ride, the China, and the SoundEdge hats. That's how much I love rudes. If you want unique, you want rude. They are professional level cymbals, not for beginners....

Paiste Alpha 16" Thin Crash - The paiste thin crash is a sweet cymbal for beginners through to intermediate, with a combination of sound and looks it was and still is an excellent buy....

Paiste 402 18" Crash Ride and 13" Hi Hats - I was disapointed by these cymbals at first, but now i have learnt to work with and make the most of them. But overall i would say do not buy these cymbals-save your money for something better, it will be worth it in the long run....

Paiste 402 Crash - Great Cymbal at a great price....

Paiste 17" Custom Signature Fast Crash REFLECTOR - Paiste Cymbals: It's all about the music....
