Ibanez Artcore AF 75 Review

History:

Purchase: I saw this guitar advertised in a newspaper. The Ibanez Centre in Adelaide, South Australia had just got them. I paid $700(AUD), but the RRP is $795. I was originally after a 335 style guitar. However, after comparing the AF 75 to the AM 73 I decided that the AF75 sounded and looked more suited to my tastes.

Pros: The one thing that really sticks out about this guitar is the price. It is far more affordable than almost all of the guitars in its class. I particuarly like the transparent blue finish and the block inlays on mine.

Cons: The "ArtCore" logo on the headstock looks a little on the cheap side. The pickup switch could have been put in a more traditional spot, but these are minor things really.

Artcore AF 75 Quality: I dont feel that Ibanez have compromised much with the quality, it does not look nor feel like a cheap guitar. ArtCore guitars are constructed in China.

Ibanez Summary: I think ibanez have done an excellent job of making semi-acoustics affordable. Their ArtStar range are no doubt excellent, but are a little on the pricey side. I believe it to be the best budget priced semi-acoustic on the market.
