Tama Steel Saprono Snare Review

History:

Purchase: I was fortunate enough to come across this drum after making my my high school jazz band as a freshman. My dad told me he'd buy me a new snare. It was only about $200 and was awesome for the money. I ordered it from musiciansfriend.com and got free shipping.

Pros: This snare is awesome. It is extremely easy to tune and gets great sound. I couldn't have asked for a better gift. It's much better than the dead sounding swingstar snare. This snare is awesome for any type of play. It sounds so full and is awesome for punk because of the sharp sound it gives.

Cons: It rattles a lot , even more than my old snare which sounded like a dying rabbit. Then I tightened the snare as far as possoble and it worked like a charm. Remember to keep the snare tightened all the way or you won't enjoy this drum.

Steel Saprono Snare Quality: The drum head is incredibly tough. It still looks new and I've already had it for 2 months. ANd I swear I hit it hard. The snare/tom swith is incredibly durable.

Tama Summary: All in all, this snare rocks.
