Danelectro Review: Fab Tone

Danelectro Guitar Effects

History:

Purchase: I purchased an entire Nam Danelectro package via e-bay last year...I had to because I'm a vampire and always get the good deals when the auctions end around 4:00pacific time...at any rate..that deal came with an assortment of Danelectro's best pedals...but it was missing something...overdrive!!! I was just in a new music store and saw this unit sitting all by it's lonesome...so I bought it..with out even trying it...It was selling for half of the MSRP.

What I Like About This Danelectro Fab Tone: So I went home and tried out the pedal...it just was the missing link I needed...and it sounded great...I play the effect with an American Nashville 5 switch Tele and a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe... 2 words - It rocked.

What I Do NOT Like About The Danelectro Fab Tone: The smash box itself...is really durable...the controls are very simple...which I think is a good thing...as I honestly can't play 100% sober...have to have a few cold ones...and sometimes it's very nice to have things simplified rather than trying to launch the NASA challenger from one of those run 10 effects in real time deals...

Danelectro Fab Tone Quality Rating: Solid steel...very durable.

Review Summary: Final thoughts...everyone has their own sound...and I just gave the danelectro a go..as I am really a "BOSS" player...but for the price...it really does the job...if you complain...you have to be one of those cats who claims they can hear a g strin bend when you play a Am or something...meaning you have ears like a peruvian bat...but for all the rest of you normal cats...it can't do you no wrong.

Danelectro Danoblaster - I wanted a different kind of electric guitar and I got one. I am working with it to see how I can apply it to my style of music: rock, country, and blues. All things said, it makes a valuable addition to my collection....

Danelectro Longhorn - The Danelectro Longhorn Bass is a lot of bass for the money. It is also an ideal bass for a younger/smaller person or female because it is small and light. It is a fantastic beginner's bass but also a lot of fun for a seasoned bassist. I rate it a 9...

Danelectro DJ12 Chili Dog - So far I have enjoyed all my Danelectro pedals and wouldnt hesitate to buy more. I think you will enjoy this unit if you decide to get it, if nothing else, just to experiment with all the different variations, but I do suggest a quality amp as the pe...

Danelectro 58 Longhorn Reissue - It's a fun bass, but if you need one good electric bass to launch your budding career, $275 buys a really fine used "real" bass or if you add another $75 or so you can get a new bass. Such basses are heavier and less stylish and require a b...
