Purchase: Purchased on clearance from Musicians Friend for $229 in May 2002
Pros: Beautiful black. Takamine playability. Excellent 3 band EQ. Great plugged in sound. Adequate unplugged sound
Cons: Black finish shows fingerprints. Lower grade of rosewood on the fretboard.
Quality: All black, laminate constuction. Very good looking. A few minor finish blemishes.

Summary: This was a good buy for the money. It is used at church and at outside events, so the laminate was a good choice. Has held up well and makes a superb choice plugged into the PA.
