Shure Review: BG 2.1 Dynamic Microphone

Shure Microphones

History:

Purchase: Far-Out-Music. This was bought for Church, so I am not aware of the exact price. I believe it was about 95.00.

What I Like About This Shure BG 2.1 Dynamic Microphone: I like everything! Great sound quality, High Output, and smooth and comfortable to hold, high-tech looks. In my opinion, this mic is every bit as good as the SM58 in sound quality. The only difference is the SM58 is more rugged and durable to drops and bumps that occur during touring. However, the BG 2.1 has been dropped a couple times and gotten not so much as a dent!

What I Do NOT Like About The Shure BG 2.1 Dynamic Microphone: There is really nothing at all I do not like. This is a great mic.

Shure BG 2.1 Dynamic Microphone Quality Rating: Excellent!

Review Summary: If you are going to be in a touring and heavy-use situation where the SM58 would be the best because of durability, the go ahead and buy the SM58. But if you stil want the same great sound quality for situations like churches, clubs, permanant installations, and recording, go with the BG2.1. I've seen them for 75.00 in most places.

Rating of this Shure product: 5
