History:
Purchase: I got this guitar almost a year ago, I just saw it and liked it, then when I tested it I loved it, it had a very nice sound. Iīm from mexico, I payed about $280 U.S. dollars
What I Like About This Unit: First of all, it looks great, itīs very confortable to play it and it has very good sound and sustain..
What I Do NOT Like About The Yamaha AES 500: It would be much better with an on-off switch and a better bridge ( a tune-o-matic would be perfect)...the factory one is not able to be calibrated,I changed it for another one to have better response about the notes I play and listen to.
AES 500 Quality: Itīs quite similar to itīs sister aes 800, but a little cheaper because of the bridge and the pickups (the aes 500 has yamaha humbuckers and the aes 800 has dimarzio pickups) Itīs hardware is not as smooth as the otherīs, but finally itīs great
Summary: When I got this guitar I knew i had to get itīs big sister, now I have bought and theyīre great. The only real problem of this guitar is the bridge, but it has a solution, so if you like itīs apearence, donīt think about it, itīs an amazing guitar
