Purchase: Bought from my local Guitar Center for $209.99.
Pros: After playing my first note on this bass, I realized that this was the one. IT is far better than any crappy squier, and dont let anyone tell you different. If this bass broke, I would buy another one immediately. Plus, the red color is super sexy for shows. THe light reflects in such a way that makes it look godlike.
Cons: I like everything
Quality: Very quality guitar.. NOthing has fallen off/apart and I have had it for over a year. IF a part ever does break, I can count on their warranty to cover it for me anyways.

Summary: I've played the squier p bass, fender p bass, american p bass, and p bass special. This bass beats them all. IT will never break. I once acciddently lifted it into a moving METAL fan blade and there isnt even a scratch. THis thing is built like a tank. I love this bass. But for you,, YOU need to decide which bass YOU want to play. Go to your local GUitar CEnter and play play play until YOU find a bass that YOU love.

Purchase: I bought this at Guitar Center for $200, because I read reviews about it online and it sounded like a good, affordable unit.
Pros: The price was right. Having both a P and a J pickup make it versatile. It's solidly built and looks great!
Cons: So far I don't have any dislikes, it isn't the top of the line, but you get a lot for the price.
Quality: It is a solid alder body with bolt-on neck. It is very resilient and can take a couple drops without any problems.

Summary: I like this bass. I would suggest it to any beginner, or someone who needs a solid reliable backup instrument.

Purchase: I bought this at guitar center for 190.00
Pros: This is a very lightweight and durable bass. Tone is pretty good. This baby is a slap machine.
Cons: The only beef I have about it is the pickup hum. Other than that, good beginner bass (or intermediate if better pickups are put in.)
Quality: Nice Neck. Decent Fret work. Jewel blue finish looks ok.

Summary: Blows away the Squier basses. Kickin for the $$$$.

Purchase: I bought this bass at Guitar Center on sale for $179
Pros: Well, i just got this bass. Me and a friend were going to guitar center and we were going to mess around with some expensive basses. well, that got boring, so i picked up a cheap bass with a p/j configuration (something i was lookin for). i plugged it straight into a crate bfx 100-t, and it sounded soo good. it sounded like an active bass, which i want, but can't afford. another good thing is that the tone control has a huge range. Mine is red, and it has a cool see-thru finish that i love. i also like it because it has a straight bolt on neck with no neckplate. it is also very light and has great action and a nice thin neck.
Cons: well, theres a little fret buzz, that seems about it.
Quality: It seems very well built. everything seems solid.

Summary: I think this is an awesome bass. I'm in a band, and already have a Fender Mexican P-bass which is okay, but i just wanted something with a P/J configuration and a little more versatility and definately a thinner neck. The Ibanez was great.

Quality: Good construction

Summary: its a good bass

Purchase: I bought it a guitarcenter store in San Diego for 230$, i was looking for a good beginner Bass...
Pros: This Bass is extremely well done for its price range, you can play around with the combinations of the J and P pickups for any sound you're looking for... is very light and what i think is the best of the bass is the fast and slim neck, and is very comfortable to...
Cons: the only problems i have with this unit is that the truss rod have to be adjusted constantly, it changes really fast whit the weather, but if you have a couple of allen keys tis easy to fix... also, after almost 3 years of constantly rough use (I'm in a rock band and I jump and move violently with the bass hanging to my knees) the screw that holds the strap fall off, but after fixing it and whit the strap taped to the bass body really tight im jumpin' around the stage again...
Quality: its very well constructed except for the little problems described above...

Summary: look, if you're on a budget looking for bass under the 350$ this is the one for you, it's way better than the similar rogue model...
