Behringer Review: GX210

Behringer Guitar Amplifiers

History:

Purchase: I found it at a local music store for 170$ it includeshas warranty registration and manuals in 7 languages a foot switch I believe new it cost 200$i got a scratch in dent 170$ (it was on the bottom of the cabinet)

What I Like About This Behringer GX210: This amp has a DSP processorand i carry's 2 x 10" jensen speakers60watts (30watts per speaker)FootswitchWhen i bought the amp i was consideringthree other 65watt amps all with distortionall of which cost 300,389,350Crate GFX65T Amplifier 1x 12" Crate GLX65 1x 12"Fender Princeton 65 DSP 1x12" Eminence The amp is loud enough for clubs small veniusits solidily built and sportslooks similiarto the Fender Hotrod Deluxe Ampits clean channel is better than all the amps listed above. the effects sound just the same as any other though the GLX does have richer chorus, and Fenders Reverb can't be beat. The price is what grabs me at 170$ it was a steal for an amp used for barely 2 weeks.

What I Do NOT Like About The Behringer GX210: The distortion isn't good for any styleof rock, it absolutely sucks. The levels of reverb or chorus can not be controled by a knob but or controle by presets, however you can program more effects, in and different settings, however this is tedious and somewhat complicated.

Behringer GX210 Quality Rating: This amp Solidily built amp it looks like an ALL tube fenderopen back cabinetweighs around 40LBS.

Review Summary: a bit complicated to use, and distortion was disappointing. However with a low price tag i'd throw in a Boss DS1/2 or Ibanez Tube Screamer Distortion pedal and its afine amp cheaper than any similiar ampand for 200$ you can add a BOSS DS 1 Distortion Pedalfor about 40$ and its better than any amp in its price range.

Rating of this Behringer product: 4
