On 2002-11-12, Jason rated this Fender Squier a 4...(3024)
Purchase: This was my first guitar I bought, and it was well worth it. I've grown alot since then (two years with this guitar.) I bought it for about $120 at New York Music. I got the Blue color, it was my dream guitar at the time!
Pros: The size of the guitar is nice, and fairly light. I really enjoyed playing this guitar. I would only sell it if I were to think of getting something better (for money reasons.)
Cons: Being that it's a Squier, you have to understand that it's not going to be the best guitar out there. It's really held up well though. I've treated it good (except I scratched the pick guard like crazy while learning how to strum!) The G string does go out of tune kind of alot though.
Quality: I'm not a mechanical buff, but it seems pretty solid for a "newbie" guitar.
Review Summary: I'm going to rate this a 4, because for me to give it a 5 would mean it's incredible. It is a good guitar though, and I do know some people that have been playing a long time that even bring it to gigs because it feels comfortable. I've got good use out of it, and I'm hoping to get the Schecter Omen 6 as my next guitar. This guitar is a good perchase.
