Danelectro Review: Pastrami Overdrive

Danelectro Guitar Effects

History:

Purchase: I got it as a gift for Christmas, I think its about $30.

What I Like About This Danelectro Pastrami Overdrive: It produces cool bluesy overdrive, not tube amp quality of course, but still good. Doesn't guzzle up your batteries.

What I Do NOT Like About The Danelectro Pastrami Overdrive: Definitly not the pedal for heavy metal! It just doesn't produce the heavy distortion needed to jam with Mr. Wylde.

Danelectro Pastrami Overdrive Quality Rating: I wouldn't drop it off of a building, but its solid.

Review Summary: Good for blues, or a boost for solos, but not heavy enough by itself.

Rating of this Danelectro product: 4

Danelectro Daddy-O - The Daddy-O is good fun at a pretty good price. It is a lot better than other pedals I've used in this price range- the sound is far more 'real' with much more body and tone. It can be pulled right back which is really important, which makes it very ...

Danelectro Dan-O-Wah - I used the pedal with a crate GX-30M amp and a BC Rich Raven II with a platinum series pickup installed. THe pedal sounded awesome with the distortion and wah settings. Although the amp didn't have a effects loop, i ran the pedal into the guitar inpu...

Danelectro Black Coffee Metal Distortion - Bottom line buy this Pedal for affordable metal distortion with crunchiness. Buy this if you can't afford the metal zone. This thing is awesome or its price. Infact I recently got a Digitech rp300 and I'm gonna return it because the distortion isn't ...

Danelectro Fab Tone - Final thoughts...everyone has their own sound...and I just gave the danelectro a go..as I am really a "BOSS" player...but for the price...it really does the job...if you complain...you have to be one of those cats who claims they can hear a g strin b...
