Purchase: I bought this guitar several years ago from Rock N Rhythm

I couldn't turn that down.. I should have bought two or three more.
What I Like About This Unit: From day one the guitar sounded good and played great. The fit and finish were excellent..only the most minute nit picking finds problems.
I have swapped out the pickups for Gibsons,and this made a qualitative difference.
I've had no problems at all with this guitar. It still plays great and looks great and sounds great.
It sold me on Epiphone, and made a semi hollow lover out of me.
I have to say the neck comes first for me. It's just about perfect for me.
The quality of the guitar is outstanding, and the look and tone are both top shelf.
What I Do NOT Like About The Epiphone Sheraton II: I don't like how hard it is to replace pots.
Fishing through the F holes is a drag.
Sheraton II Quality: Construction and quality is excellent. Only very minor flaws anywhere.. a tad too much filler in a neck inlay..a tiny spot of dirt in the finish.
Tough as nails!.. This thing was on a stand in my living room for the better part of it's first three years at home... no humidifier.. midwest weather.
You'd never know it. I could polish it up and put it back on the rack.
Beautifully done, and done well, too.
Summary: Epiphone has a winner here. You can't get a 335 styled guitar anything like this elsewhere.
From the multi ply binding, to the neck headstock inlays.. bound f holes.. gold hardware.. center block construction.. all maple top back and sides.. five ply mahogany/maple neck..
everything is very well done and very pretty.
If you want a fancy 335.. the sheraton II will fill that bill and provide you with great playability and sound as well.
If you want a plain one.. take a good look at the epiphone dot.
