History:
Purchase: Purchased from www.starland.co.uk for £60 plus a free cymbal bag.
Wanted a full matching set of cymbals for my drum kit, and the cheapies that came with it were poor.
Pros: Superb Price.
These cymbals aren't fantastic when compared to Zildjian or Sabian's other products, but for a beginner like myself, they are perfect.
Hi-hats are pretty good if top one is kept loose.
Ride has a good sound (except the bell).
Crash is acceptable.
Cons: The bell of the ride sounds pretty horrific.
Solar by Sabian Cymbal Pack Quality: Pretty thick and beefy. Quite strong. Sabian Summary: If you are a beginner, I highly reccommend these cymbals, as they are a good way to get the three basics (hats, crash and ride) and to add a matching set.
If you are more experienced, and have the money, buy some higher quality cymbals.
