Danelectro Review: Cool Cat

Danelectro Guitar Effects

History:

Purchase: I was looking for a chorus pedal to add to my effects. I started by reading as many reviews about chorus pedals as I could. Then I watched E-Bay for the pedals I was interested in. The Cool Cat has an excellent review history and the price on E-Bay was always pretty good. I picked mine up for <$40.

What I Like About This Danelectro Cool Cat: The Cool Cat is built like a tank. It is a very heavy construction. The unit is very simple to operate. You can get some really interesting chorus sounds out of the unit with a twist of its two dials - speed & chill. As this was a used unit and I wanted the manual that came with it, I contacted Danelectro to get a manual. They sent me one for free.

What I Do NOT Like About The Danelectro Cool Cat: This is more of a warning. The unit requires two 9-volt batteries to operate. I would highly recommend getting Danelectro's AC adaptor (wall wart) for this unit. Make sure to get the 18 volt unit.

Danelectro Cool Cat Quality Rating: Excellent construction. Solid heavy gauge steel. Excellent quality.

Review Summary: If you can find one used for ~$40 get it!

Rating of this Danelectro product: 5
