Yamaha Review: RBX270

History:

Purchase: I bought this bass from Guitar World in Western Australia for $500 AUD.

What I Like About This Yamaha RBX270: What I like about this bass is that it's a great starter bass at it's price for any style of playing. The tone of the bass does sound a lot better then the lower quality beginner basses. I would recommend this bass for people interested in giving bass a shot. It's also a great back-up bass!

What I Do NOT Like About The Yamaha RBX270: This bass is great for starting, but once you want to start jamming with a proper band, it doesn't fit in that well. You can't really adjust the sound quality of this bass that well, but if you have a good amp, I guess it could boost your tone a little.

Yamaha RBX270 Quality Rating: The quality of the bass isn't the best. I've only knocked it a few times and I already have some mini-dents here and there. I've also dropped the bass once from knee high by accident and it's chipped at the back even though it landed flat.

Review Summary: It's a great beginner and back-up bass! I would recommend this for any beginner, but if you want to progress with your bass I suggest looking for a higher quality axe.
