Mavis Custom Made Review

History:

Purchase: i got this from a small guitar shop in yokohama, japan. i have no idea where this is made since the salesman told me it kinda made it way to the shop. i wanted a 7 string guitar and unfortunately i was on a tight budget. i got it for 250 dollars. I use it to get acquainted with a 7 string guitar.

What I Like About This Unit: the neck is identical to an ibanez 7 string guitar... wide and flat. the body is a contemporary one.. and lightweight.

What I Do NOT Like About The Mavis Custom Made: the pick-ups sound muddy and doesnt have clarity and brightness. the tuners went unbalanced after frequent use. ill probably replace the pick-ups with seymour duncans.

Custom Made Quality: lacks fine detailing.

Summary: i have been using it for 4 years as my experimental guitar. im planning to upgrade its hardware and electronics.
