Sabian Pro Crash 16" Review

History:

Purchase: I bought this cymbal from a friend along with loads more for 150 quid. Ive seen it in the shops for about 90.

Pros: I like the sound...nice, high pitched, cutting and giving fairly decent volume. The cymbal plays well, and has lasted for the 2 months i have owned it and thats after a beating...and yes i do mean a beating. Great Price for its sound. Bright. Great for elongated accents.

Cons: the main problems with this cymbal are as follows: -Its hard work. To get a decent bright sound out of it you really need to pump it out. -Its quite fast, which can be good but when your wanting nice, long, warm drives from it it can be quite difficult to get the right sound.

Pro Crash 16" Quality: The quality is reasonable. If you want exellent quality, go for Zildjians (Cast Bronze that is), but the Pro series Sabians Do tend to last well and will deliver in a gig, although anything before that such as B8s and B8 pros are much too quiet. Fairly reliable.

Sabian Summary: Overall, this is a good product. For Quality, go for Zildjian Cast Bronze For Cutting, Bright Sounds go for Sabian AA, or Paiste. For Huge, power cymbals go for Sabian AAX and Zildjian Z custom and A custom. Hope this helps! Thanks for reading!
