Purchase: I bought this at daddy's junky music in boston mass usa february 8th 2004. i wanted volume effects a good delay phaser and flange. this had them so i decided to buy it. I paid $69.95 plus tax. and hey it comes with the power supply
Pros: I like every effect like the envelope filter effect which on this is better than my DOD FX25B envelope filter which was a complete waste of $40. i like that you can get any amount of delay time that you could ever want. i like the flange types, the phaser types the reverb types, and everything else involved especially the auto-ya which is pretty fun to mess around with. the tuner and drum machine are excellent also.
Cons: there really isnt anything that i dont like about this unit ecxept for the fact that you have to press both pedals at the same time to turn it off everything else is great though.
Quality: even though this thing is made of plastic it is still pretty solid i dropped it by accident one time not even a scratch. it is really great unit construction wise Review Summary: i think that this is one of the greatest multi effect pedals out there because it does not affect your tone and has great amp models from clean tube to hot rod its there definetly buy this if you want a low priced great quality tuner, drum machine, multi effect processor, and amp modeler On 2004-02-12, rated this DigiTech RP50 a 4...(7889)
Purchase: i bought the rp50 in a guitar shop in Columbus, OH. It was on sale, so I got it for a good price of about $75.
Pros: The versitility of the RP50 is really overwelming. It can do almost anything you want it to. It is also very light weight.
Cons: The only problem was switching to a clean effect. It also lacks a power switch, kind of wierd, but didn't get in the way at all
Quality: It is pretty durible, and light weight. It is put together really good, doesn't break easily. Review Summary: I would recommend the RP50 to anyone, except the people just starting out. there is a lot of stuff that might not make sence if you don't know what it is. Purchase: I bought this pedal in a local Musician's Warehouse for $69, I wanted access to a variety of effects but had very limited money, so it seemed like the best choice for me at the time, lots of effects in one unit for a really good price.
Pros: I like the delay, you can layer it on any of the other effects. It has pretty good noise gate, ok amp modelling, good flange and phaser, an ok equalizer, and over-all good effect, especially considering the price.
Cons: There's not much I don't like about it, except maybe that you have limited distortion, you have to rely on the amp models for that part.
Quality: Very good, I think. It's never malfunctioned on me, once I thought it was, but it just turned out my batteries ran out. It's good and solid, you'd have to put a lot of effort into it if you wanted to break it, maybe throwing it off a building would do the trick. Review Summary: Overall good pedal, the next step up is the same price as the RP50 when I bought it (several months ago), prices went down about $10 last time I checked, so I would recommend it. Purchase: I got this for my birthday from Samuel Music for about $65 cuz i wanted an effect pedal.
Pros: It has the space for 80 effects and you can customize forty of them. HTe other forty are factory settings. It has a really heavy distortion for a little pedal. It also has some good presets. Its also pretty fun to hook a mic up to it and mess around.
Cons: It could use a foot pedal thing where you can make the wah and stuff wave. Other ythan that, it is pretty good for my first effect pedal.
Quality: Plastic casing with a small screen and a few buttons. I've stomped on it pretty damn hard and nothing has happened yet. Review Summary: This is a nice little pedal but if you have the money, go bigger. Otherwise, its great considering i have a squier strat and a squier champ 15. Purchase: I bought this unit at a local shop. It was $69. I wanted something that would add more excitement to my playing. Boy, did I get it!
Pros: The price is certainly right. The built-in drum machine sounds fabulous to me. There are more built-in effects than I can possibly use. This thing can really make you more professional-sounding. Few people ever realize how common guitar effects are on recordings.
Cons: It's not so easy to program good-sounding effects yourself. The programming codes are not easy to decipher through the LED. But the capabilities are there if you are patient. It uses too many batteries for too short a time, and it's hard to get them in. You might as well consider the $20 AC adapter as a necessity.
Quality: Mostly plastic, but very solid-feeling. I think it's weighted in some way. Review Summary: Something that would really be nice would be a "Test Button" that would pluck a string or strum a chord. That way, you could program the unit without having to hold a guitar at the same time. But my final conclusion is: for the price you pay, this is one great deal. Purchase: I bought this pedal for 70 dollars at Guitar Center. I thought I would add more effects to my guitar sound besides clean, distorted, and reverb.
Pros: This pedal has 80 presets. You can have 8 diferent effects playing at one time. Has an assortment of effects. Cheap, easy to use, and fun to experiment with.
Cons: To bypass the pedal you have to step on both the pedals at the same time sometimes one gets pushed before the other and it just changes the preset. Thats basically it.
Quality: Made of plastic with a clear LCD screen. Well built and probably wont break if dropped, but i haven't tried. Review Summary: Good pedal, average quality, and good price. |
