Purchase: I found this used guitar at a local branch of Music Go Round stores. I was looking for a Les Paul, when this copy caught my eye. I paid $180.
Pros: I'm impressed with the flame top finish. I think that it is genuine maple. The pickups are hot. It has a full sound. The tone is not as rich as a classic Gibson, but I expected as much. It has the look and feel of a 60's standard Paul.
Cons: It has a bolt on neck. I don't mind bolt on necks on most guitars, but on a Paul neck through sounds better.
Quality: The construction is fine. I had to set it up of course. I might replace the saddles.
Review Summary: I'm impressed with this guitar. If you used it on a recording, you wouldn't be able to tell that it's a copy.
