Purchase: I bought this guitar at Steve's Music in Ottawa, Canada. I paid $199 plus tax for it. I got nothing with it....no instruction book, not pamphlet...nothing.
Pros: It looks and (for the most part) feels like a Gibson SG. It's fairly light, great finish to it. I get a great sound out of it. I bought this guitar to learn how to play on...and so far, it hasn't really let me down. I wanted to learn how to play AC/DC mostly, and when you hear the exact sound that you hear on an album come out of your guitar....well, it's very encouraging during the sometimes stressfull and tedious learning process.
Cons: The tuners suck. This thing seems to go out of tune every three days. ( I play for at least an hour every night). I brought a friend of mine who I think is a guitar god...he's quite good...to play the top 5 guitars I wanted to buy. He liked the SG....but he told me to buy the SG 310 instead...it was only $70 Cdn more, and he said the tuners where night and day better. I guess he was right. But really, I don't mind tuning it frequently. In fact, I think it's good *ear* practice for me anyway. But if you're not a beginner, I think the tuners would be too frustrating for you. Also, I found the strings that came with is to bee far too soft.
Quality: Solid. nothing more to say. I've heard about switch problems...but in he 1 month that I've had it....say the 50 hours that I've spent on it, I've never had a single issue with any of the controla other thant the tuners.

Review Summary: $199 and you can sound, pretty much, just like your favourtie musician!! Any better way to learn guitar? I haven't seen it yet! This is a really....really...smart buy for a new guitar player.

Purchase: I bought it in a music shop called Cookes band Instruments for £300 it appealed to me straight away for its great shape and looks.
Pros: I love the styling and the deep cheery red color. The 2 humbuckers deliver a great sound.
Cons: The machine heads are a sickly green!
Quality: Its is all built very well and the quality is just what u expect from Gibson.

Review Summary: A great guitar it has the sound, the looks and the Gibson name.

Purchase: I bought this guitar at Music Stop for $599.99
Pros: I like the inlays on the neck and the way the neck feels. It's also extremely light and I like the 2 chrome plated humbuckers.
Cons: I don't like the color. I also dislike the design of the volume and tone knobs.
Quality: This guitar is well put together and is worth a buy.

Review Summary: Give this guitar a shot. It's the spitting image of its father guitar the Gibson SG. Nice sound and a nice price. You'll love the neck and the weight!
