On 2003-12-09, Vinny gave this Ovation Acoustic Guitar a 5...(6776)

Purchase: I purchased this guitar new for $1600 at Brents Music in Fort Myers Florida almost a year ago.
Pros: The guitar is great! I perform music four to five times a week. (solo and duo work) The sound is pleasing, it is easy on the fingers, and I have knocked it around a few times, and still no dings. I cant say that about my Taylor. Sound is superb plugged in and unplugged.
Cons: So far no dislikes, except the fact that you really need to have a strap on even when sitting unless your leg is preety high up, otherwise it tends to slip because its a round-back guitar. not really a big deal though.....
Quality: Construction and quality is 100%.

Summary: Basically I have been going back and forth with Guild, Taylor, Gibson, and a few less expensive brands. While I like the ones mentioned above, for a performer who plays outdoors in FL, the Adamas is almost maintanence free and gives me a great earthy sound that I get compliments on weekly. Try one out for yourself and don't forget to try it plugged in too. Tone is subjective--what someone likes another might not find too pleasing. I am keeping my ADAMAS!!
