History:
Purchase: Saved my pennies (a pile of 'em) and paid $1250 at a local music store after showing them what I could do via the internet. Took 5 weeks to get it from California - got it 3 days after I say Jeff in concert in Nashville, March, 2001.
What I Like About This Unit: Doesn't matter how loud I turn this baby up the Lace Sensor pickups are sweet and clear. Play it thru a Morley Wah pedal for just the right distortion levels...man, what tone. Especially with brand new strings - can't be beat.
What I Do NOT Like About The Fender Jeff Beck Signature Stratocaster: The only thing I have against this guitar - is the case. I have to remove the whammy arm to close the case with the guitar in it. Removing/installing the arm repeatedly, has a tendency to wear the threads on the arm as well as in the bridge - this eventually causes wobble. You'd think case designers would fix this flaw....
Jeff Beck Signature Stratocaster Quality: Not a flaw found....top quality. Love the Schaller locking tuners...I'm forever spoiled, now.
Summary: if you've got enough pennies saved - buy one, you won't be sorry!
