History:
Purchase: I bought this new at Marks Music, a local muisc store, for $350. I was looking for a guitar mainly for use in a jazz/blues setting, and this guitar was far beyond any I tried in that price range.
What I Like About This Jay Turser JT 136: The guitar features a hollow body, cutaway design, as well as an adjustable bridge, so you can move the action up or down.
What I Do NOT Like About The Jay Turser JT 136: While it produces a sweet melodic tone naturally, I've found it difficult to produce a more raw edgy sound for hard blues sutff, without expensive effects.
Jay Turser JT 136 Quality Rating: I've had it for a year, and it's maintained in perfect condition through relatively rough use. It appears to have been constructed very solidly.
Review Summary: This is an excelent guitar for any intermediate jazz player.
