History:
Purchase: It was bought from www.thedrumplace.co.uk along with a pearl ch-70 boom arm/clamp for around £40.
What I Like About This Unit: The first time i played this cymbal i was very pleased with it. The sound was very glassy and had a good short sustain.
What I Do NOT Like About The Pearl 10" Splash: This cymbal does not have much volume at all and needs to be hit quite hard. Also depending on where you hit it you can get no sound at all, it is as if the cymbal is dead in places it shouldn't be.
Also there are overtones and a prominent ring occurs after being struck.
10" Splash Quality: As i have only had this cymbal a short time i cannot say what might happen.No stick marks have appeared on it yet, also being a splash(and a pearl) it is a very thin cymbal....
Summary: A lovely addition cymbal if you can get it at the right price. I'd heard very bad things about pearl cymbals but was pleasantly surprised by this splash, overall i am pleased with it and dont regret buying it.
