Purchase: i was in france at the time and i saw it at the back it was looked great and it looked great it was £150 cheep!!
Pros: i like the look of the guitar red with a white scrach board and the tremalo bends really well i normaly switch it to the humbucker pick up beacause the sound is more treabley and the sounds i thinks t its best the other pick ups are good quality
Cons: the only thing that was off putting was the strings are a bit to far away from the fret board and if i put it closer it starts to twang
Quality: i think the construction and quality of the guitar is very good its hard wearing and is great for begginers

Summary: i love ibanez they make the best guitars ever and FENDERS ARE SHIT!!!

Purchase: I started out on an acoustic guitar and wanted an electric. My cousin sold me his Ibanez Gio because he bought a Gibson Les Paul. I bought it from him for 125 dollars. That included the practice amp, guitar, and gig bag.
Pros: It is a solid little beginner guitar. For the price it sounds way good. You don't have to tune it and it pretty much stays in tune when you use the whammi bar.
Cons: That it wasn't a Fender!!
Quality: It seems to be pretty well built. The only thing I see is the jack where you plug into the amp has come loose and i took it apart and fixed it. Overall it seems to be in good condition. Just depends on how you treat it.

Summary: Would definitley recommend to anyone for a beginner or intermediate guitar.

Purchase: I got my Ibanez Gio from a music shop in Orange Park, Florida. I paid about $300 for it.
Pros: I like it mostly because my experience with my friend's Gio guitar. I liked the feel and it gave me a desire to play the electric guitar.
Cons: I don't like the fact that the bridge floats in place. Because of it, I have to tune it more than once to when replacing strings. I have a friend with an older model of the same guitar, but he recieved a different bridge that dosn't allow this sort of thing.
Quality: The body has an ergonomic design that allows for ease of play. The guitar is also durable; able to survive accidental droppings.

Summary: The Ibanez Gio is a great guitar that has the look and performs like high-end guitars. On a lower budjet, this is the #1 guitar to buy before moving to the next level.

Purchase: i got this guitar from guitar center and i payed about $225 for it. a pretty good deal for a beginner electric.
Pros: well i like the overall feel to it just the way it contours to your body kinda like a strat does but it isnt very light, the tuning is great very long hold, low action and the tone. just a nice good sound.
Cons: the only real problem i had with this guitar was that i had big time electrical problems when i plugged the guitar in. it had to do with the output socket, i had to take it apart and bend the metal part inside so it would actually touch the input jack. sometimes when im playing it would just go out. so i had to do some customizing with this guitar.
Quality: the quality is fine except for the inner electric stuff but that can easily be taken care of if you do it yourself and screw the socket tight. the construction is top of the line so i think, nice straight neck, very sturdy.

Summary: overall this is a nice beginner guitar. i learned everything i know from this guitar. and i dont think theres a better electric beginner out there. my friend actually has one of these and he says he hasnt had any problems. so if your a beginner and im sure the price has dropped the last 1 year ive had this then go for it!

Purchase: I Acquired this guitar after school one day when i had saved up ebough money to get it. The guitar sounded great and played great. Great Action, Nice sound, and reall apealing to the sight. I paid atleast 300$ for this guitar.
Pros: I like that the guitar sounds great, looks good, and feels good to play.
Cons: i dont like that it doesn't have the tune locks, and since it has a floating bridge the guitar tends to drop key as i tune my guitar.
Quality: The constructuion is very rounded. it looks appealing, and is very tough.

Summary: The Guitar is Very Durable and dependable. If you were to choose a guitar for a concert this is the winner.

Purchase: The Ibanez Gio is my frist electric guitar. Before I bought it a year ago for aroung $250 I was playing an accoustic guitar.
Pros: What I actually like best about the guitar is that the price is very good for the quality you get. The sound is fine for both clean and distorted music. The handling of the guitar is good. It features two single coils and one humbucker. And you can adjust tone and volume.
Cons: What I don't like: - The single coils are actually useless - Too much noise if you play distorted - The quality of the pickups is not good actually.
Quality: The construction of the guitar is ok. You don't have to tune or replace the strings often. One time a pickup fell off and I had to screw it in again. This means the construction could be even better.

Summary: Its a good guitar if you are just a beginner or want to change to an e-guitar from an accoustic. Anyway it is a beginners guitar and I really want to get another guitar now. I'm going to buy an Ibanez K-7 and sell my Gio.
