Fender Review: American Deluxe P Bass V String

Fender Bass Guitars

History:

Purchase: I actually purchased this bass to replace a Roscoe that I ended up having to sell! I purchased this instrument on E-bay new and got an extremely good deal on it! I paid $995.00 The list was $1850.00 and it retails for around $1250.00 so all in all I would have to say I got a very good deal!

What I Like About This Fender American Deluxe P Bass V String: This bass features a graphite reinforced neck, 22 jumbo frets, Gorgeous classic aged cherry sunburst finish, 3 Band EQ with new upgraded 18 volt preamp, all new 4 over 1 tuning key design, Custom humbucking pickup at the bridge, and a classic 62 P Style pickup at the neck! It features a Pau-Ferro fretboard with Abalone dot inlays! New string tree design! All of these new features add up to a truly "AWESOME" bass guitar!

What I Do NOT Like About The Fender American Deluxe P Bass V String: There are really no negatives I can mention. It is a superbly crafted instument! I did have some setup issues at first, but this is normal! I had my Pro guy (Bubba) (Music Loft Inc.) to set the bass up for me and he did one heck of a job! It plays like a dream and sounds amazing!

Fender American Deluxe P Bass V String Quality Rating: Overall quality in my personal opinion on a scale of 1-10 is a (10)! The woods used and overall craftsmanship from action fit and finish is superb! The finish is a Beautiful aged cherry sunburst with a classic mint green pickguard! They call it mint green, it is more like an aged white! It really gives it a true classic aged look! Although the woods are not exotic like quilted etc..., it is still gorgeous!

Review Summary: Have owned and played everything throughout the years from Fender, G&L, Gibson, Modulus, Pedulla, Warwick, Roscoe, Steinberger, Tobias, etc... And the list goes on and on and on, but I keep coming back for that unmatched tone of the Fender bass. Although all the basses I mentioned are top notch and sound great nothing beats the classic tone of Fender Bass Guitars! If you think you have to spend thousands of dollars to get great tone, then you need to try Fender American series bass guitars! I have been the dummy before that has spent thousands on his instruments! (No More)! Fender gives you all the classic tone and punch you could want at a very good price!
