Rogue LX205B Review

History:

Purchase: I bought this 5 string from Musiciansfriend.com for $125.95( it was on sale). I have a Yamaha RBX270 4 string and Rogue fretless, so I want to try 5 string.

Pros: The finish, electronics and pots work great out of the box. The fret and action is also great (85% Good). The playablity and sound is comparable to Yamaha. People don't believe when they hear how much I spend on it. The neck is great even with my rather short fingers.



Cons: The one and only problem is there is a string buzz on the low B string. ( 1st, 2nd and 3rd fret only). Everythingelse is fine even if I am playing at 24th fret( no buzz, very smooth). Probably a guitar tech can adjust the trussrod and get rid of it.

LX205B Quality: I wish I have some choices for different finish/color. But, hey, it's only $125.95. And I'd like to see some serial numbers, too.

Rogue Summary: Great bass. For beginners and intermediate like me. And it won't cost you an arm and a leg.
