Line 6 Review: DL4

Line 6 Guitar Effects

History:

Purchase: I got it at Sherwood Music is Kitchener, ON for $325 new after trying nearly every delay pedal out.

What I Like About This Line 6 DL4: You get so many different delays to choose from. You're bound to fall in love with at least one of them. And with Tweek and Tweeze adjustment knobs, the possibilities are endless. Also, a 28 second (yes...that's right) loop sampler to play around with is pretty cool. The sounds you get are stellar...just like the real thing!

What I Do NOT Like About The Line 6 DL4: Only being able to use one type of delay at a time is dumb...you should be able to program different types of delay that you can switch between without getting down on your hands and knees in the middle of a song for. It's like having 15 pedals, but only being able to use one at a time.

Line 6 DL4 Quality Rating: The knobs seem very cheap and will probably break if you're not gentle with them. Definitely cutting some corners with the knob construction. This piece (although it sounds great) is not tough. Not something I'd just toss in my gig bag.

Review Summary: If you take care of it, it's great! But treat her like a baby, because she'll likely break otherwise.

Rating of this Line 6 product: 3
