History:
Purchase: I bought this cymbal at Guitar Center for 61 dollars plus tax. I had just recently bought brand new pearl export set and I am planning to buy the sabian B8 cymbal pack. I mainly bought this cymbal by itself because the sabian B8 pack comes with 14 inch high hats, a 16 inch crash, and a 20 inch ride, but i wanted more than just one crash cymbal. So i figured i would buy it from the same series.
What I Like About This Sabian B8 Series 18" Medium Crash Cymbal: First off, it is VERY good quality for it's price. I was stunned. It has a nice shimmer to its sound, plus it is LOUD. If great sound and loud volume is what you need, then this is the cymbal to get. The best part was the price. I compared it to my father's Paiste 2002 series 18 inch crash. The Paiste 2002 series by the way is the second most expensive Paiste series. The 18 inch crash goes for 190 dollars. A LOT OF MONEY. In the end, the only difference i could find between the two was that the Paiste could get a bit louder, but that's about it. I didn't have the heart to tell my father though that my 61 dollar crash was just as good as his beloved 190 dollar one. haha
What I Do NOT Like About The Sabian B8 Series 18" Medium Crash Cymbal: ummmmmmm nothing. I don't think I'm even going to upgrade anytime soon if i decide to at all. This cymbal owns!
Sabian B8 Series 18" Medium Crash Cymbal Quality Rating: It's made of bronze with a natural finish. It can get mighty loud and has a nice shimmering tone to it which i love.
Review Summary: If you are a drummer on a budget or even just a begginer looking for some cymbals to start out on. The Sabian B8 series is the way to go. You can't go wrong!
