History:
Purchase: I purchased a 1940-1950's Standard archtop guitar on Ebay $80, knowing that it probably needed a neck reset, a nut replacement, a cracked top repair, and refretting. I needed a book to guide me through this process. All the information I found refered me to Dan's book. I purchased the book through the Musical Instrument Makers Forum:

The book cost me $18.36 plus shipping.
What I Like About This Unit: Dan Erlewine's book is a treasure trove of information for those of us who are hands on types. The book has been very helpful in directing me through this process. Dan's style is easy to read. I feel like he's along side of me giving me tips. Beside's the work I've already done, there is information on original factory specs for various popular guitars, including Fenders and Gibsons.
