Purchase: I got it from a local retailer near where i used to live. At the time i paid 580euros but was probably overchared a little bit as it was the only music retailer in town and had no competition.
Pros: Everything pretty much. Iv had it for about 18 months now and its still playing strong. You can get all sorts of sounds out of it, i hardly ever fiddle with the EQ on my amp anymore because i can do it all from my bass. The natural finish is beautiful.
Cons: Nothing.
Quality: Well constructed and quite strong, mines had a few bangs but its fine.
Summary: Quality bass. I reccomend it to anyone, if your looking for a bass that has an excellent sound at an excellent price then the BB604 is your answer.

Purchase: I bougt it in a local ''guitar paradise'' . It's one of the largest guitar stores in the Netherlands. I tried at least fifteen other basses before buying this one.
Pros: What is not to like? I love it! This is my third bass now, and I realy love it. The sound is great. You can get all sorts of different sounds from it. The looks are also great, mine has a natural finish, and the gold electronics really set is off.
Cons: I can't come up with anything bad. Maybe it's a bad thing no gigbag or other extra's come with it, but for this price, that's quite understable.
Quality: Great quality. I've had it for 5 months now, and no damage yet.
Summary: I love it. I love it even more then the fender jazz bass I bougt a few years ago, and it's much cheaper. I think it's one of the best basses on the market, and it's certainly the best for this price.
At yamaha's you pay for quality, not for the brand name (like with some more exprensive basses)
