Purchase: I bought it from www.MUSIC-TOWN.de for 74€
I bought it because the DISTORTION IS GREAT AND VERY HARD. Pros: THe effect has a very HARD and STRONG DISTORTION with a lot of GAIN..I LIKE THAT.
ANd the OVERDRIVE is great when you play like :The Who,Ugly Kid Joe,Queen... .
But the clean channel is not so good its pretty but not GREAT or FANTASTIC quite pretty. When you have all knobs on the level 10 when you see what i mean..try it OUT!!
Cons: The sound quality is not so good but for this price i think its ok! Quality: The Quality is good built like a HEAVY TRUCK
real ROLAND QUALITY!!! Summary: Now I just say:BUY THIS EFFECT PEDAL BUY IT ,its a great PEDAL with good EFFECTs only the QUALITY OF THE SOUND is not so good but it just fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Purchase: I listened to the demos for this on the boss website it sounded like what I wanted, so i bought it on ebay for $40usd. Pros: This pedal has a lot of variety, you can get a punk rock sound out of it as well as a heavy metal sound. I play both so this was usefull for me. Its built to last. Cons: If your going to use this unit i would suggest getting an octave pedal as well, the bass is pretty weak. Otherwise I love it. Quality: Its Boss, you cannot break it. Summary: I would suggest this to anyone, since it does pretty much every style you could want. Get an octave pedal too though. On 2003-12-06, Trevor Howlett gave this Boss Guitar Effects a 5...(6705)
Purchase: I bought this beauty for a cool 125 bucks Canadian from the music store about a half an hour away.
Pros: I was looking for something with good overdrive or distortion and I found it! It has a cool nice toned overdrive qualities and good crunching distortion. It is small and easy to use.
Cons:
I have no dislikes about this baby, although i'm sure one of the buttons may fall off soon because i'm so rough.
Quality: The quality and construction is good although the buttons seem a little fragile. Summary: I think this is the best Distortion/Overdrive pedal you can get for it's price and for people just starting out, you can keep it your whole life. The quality tone is unmatched in current distortions except for perhaps the Boss OD Drive Zone. On 2001-07-09, MrHankey gave this Boss Guitar Effects a 5...(477)
Purchase: I bought this unit because I wasn't satisfied with my amp's overdrive and its possibilities.
I got in for 72,31$ in a store called Musik-Produktiv (the biggest Musicstore in Austria).
Pros: I like the many sound possibilities you have with this pedal.
From a warm tone, to a metallic one.
From overdrive to heavy distortion.
It's also very small and light, and it works with battery so you don't have to plug it, but If you are playing a gig, you can plug it if you want to (with an optional adaptor).
I also like the price, even the Metal Zone is more expensive, though you don't have as many sound varieties. Cons: Nothing...
Well, you can't handle the volume, tone, drive and colour switches with you foot (you can do this with other pedals like the Boss DS-1, because there, they are bigger and smoother to turn). Quality: Like all Boss effect pedals, it has excellent quality. Summary: I'd like to recommend this great pedal to everyone who is searching for a compromise between distortion and overdrive (or wants to have both if necessary), to everybody who thinks that the Metal Zone is too metal, and the DS-1 to sharp and meallic.
I was searching for it for a long time, and finally, I found it: OS-2
