Purchase: I bought a first Johnson 12 at Arthur, Ill.
I (accidentally) dropped & busted the neck.
Got the replacement at same store for $175.
All mahogany body & neck, rosewood fretboard, solid top.
Have had it since Feb. this year.
Pros: Dark, deep tone, very good bass response after using heavier strings(12-52) overall lovely tone, stays in tune very well.
Cons: 3rd fret would buzz on strings 1-4 problem can be fixed with heavier strings.
Quality: Solid mahogany neck. back, sides & top, Ladder & X-bracing. Excellent quality for the price.
Summary: Overall I would reccomend this 12-string to anyone interested in playing one.
