History:
Purchase: I purchased this bass at Guitar Center in Castleton, In. At the time I had owned a Yamaha TRB-6(bolt-on neck) for about 5 years and was looking to go back to a 5-string bass. I had looked at some Ibanez basses and also the RockBass by Warwick, but they had this bass on sale for $600 ($1499 retail) and they traded with me even up on my Yamaha.
What I Like About This Unit: The playability of this bass is amazing! It's very fast, and you don't even realize that it's a 35" scale bass. Also the body contour is very comfotable. As far as the sound of the bass, it's by far the best sounding bass in this price range I've heard. A friend of mine has a Modulus Quantum 5 and this bass will run head to head with it. Very solid lows, without becoming boomy, and crystal clean highs.
What I Do NOT Like About The Spector Euro ReBop 5 Bolt-on: Maybe a separate battery compartment would be nice, but that would be it.
Euro ReBop 5 Bolt-on Quality: This is a well constructed bass. The locking quick-release bridge is solid and the machine heads are top notch. The fretwork is very good. The body contour is really comfortable, sitting or standing.
Summary: This is the last bass I will ever own, it's just that good. If you are looking for an outstanding bass and can't afford 3-5 grand, I would certainly check these basses out.
