Below you will find some hints and tips for submitting a quality review. Please try and include as much information as possible to help others in the shopping process. Include details and try to discuss every positive and negative aspect of the product you have purchased.

Type: Please do not forget to enter the type of product you are reviewing.

Manufacturer: Please enter the manufacturer or brand name for the item you are revieweing. (e.g. Fender, Boss, Paiste)

Model: Please enter the basic model number. (e.g. Stratocaster, BR-1800, 808S PPM, etc.) Do not enter details about the color , size, dimensions, etc. Enter these details in the history / additional details field.

Details: In this field, we ask that you include more details about the product that do not make sense in the Model field. For instance, what type of finish is on your guitar (quilted, flame), what color is your bass, what type of wood is used in the shells of your drum kit, what are the size of your cymbals, etc. Then, please also include some additional detail about yourself as a musician. Have you been in a band? Do you gig? What is your experience with recording? What instruments do you play and how long have you been playing? These are details that will help people that read your review related to you through your experience so they understand where you are coming from.

Purchase: In this field, tell us where you bought the item (or was it a gift?), how much was paid, and why you got it. Why did you need it? Did you shop around? What are some additional details about the purchase that will help the reader understand where you were coming from and what you were looking for.

Pros: In this section, talk about as many of the positive features of the item as you can. What do you like about it? Do you like the tone of the instrument, do like the feel, how about the electonics, ease of use, special features, etc. What about the item makes it better than some of the others available on the market?

Cons: In this section, talk about as many of the negative features of the item as you can. If you were the manufacturer, what would you have done differently? Are there missing features that you think are important? What is this unit lacking that you've seen on other items in this category? What would someone shopping for this item need to know to compare it to other products?

Construction/Quality: In this section, tell us what you think of the quality of the item and the fit and finish. Is it made of good materials? Are the individual pieces or sections fit together nicely (e.g. neck bolted to body, trims have a professional finish, is it a good quality wood, is it mostly plastic, are the knobs loose or flimsy, do you think you would have to worry if you dropped the unit, etc.)

Bottom Line: In this section, please summarize some of the points you made in the sections above and let us know if you would purchase the unit again for the price you paid. Was it worth it? Is it a good value? Should people buy this unit or stay away from it. Under what conditions would you buy it or not buy it? Is there something about the unit that should overall factor in to someone's decision? etc.

Rating: Consider that one is the lowest possible and five is excellent, rate the unit overall. Keep in mind ones and fives should be extremes and a three is OK. Is it better than OK, but not excellent? Give it a four. Are you just not happy with it, but it's not a complete waste, give it a 2, etc.
