Purchase: I bought this guitar from American Musical Supply. I paid between five and six hundred dollars. I wanted a replacement Tele for the one that I foolishly sold two years ago.
Pros: The neck is outstanding! It's birdseye maple. I like the ash body. It's the perfect Telecaster for me. I use it for rock and blues.
Cons: Zero.
Quality: Flawless Fender construction.

Review Summary: I suggest that you buy one of these!

Purchase: Purchased used from a friend for a starter guitar for $150.00.
Pros: Great style and sound for the price.
Cons: N/A
Quality: Well constructed.

Review Summary: For the price, this is a great alternative to higher quality, more expensive instruments.

Purchase: I picked up this tele at Guitar Center. I added it to my collection of Gibsons (J-200, 335 and Les Paul Custom) because I found myself playing a lot of rockabilly and country rock arrangments, and there is no replacement for a tlecaster in those circles. I paid $799.
Pros: It's got a great high end, with a lot of torch and twang, and also gets really mellow. I play it with a ED-1 compressor and a Boss Am Factory box, run through a Fender twin. I love the neck, too. I opted for the rosewood. It's a very sure-handed neck, comfortable to gymnastic chordings and legato runs.
Cons: I used to play with .9 guage super slinky strings and I found the the tuning would slip. I have since upped the guage to .10 and haven't had a problem.
Quality: It's a great rig. Ash body, rosewood neck. The hardware is orginal and works great. Very quiet.

Review Summary: I have played other versions of this guitar: G&L, Charvel Surfcaster, and various Japanese and Mexican knockoffs. But the American Standard is the real deal.

Purchase: We're talking about a talking fender telecaster. mexican made. I received it as a christmass gift. from my lovely wife of 15 years.Since it was a gift I didn,t pay anything for it. but the cost at the time was about 340. bucks I think it went up about 20 bucks.
Pros: There are a few things that I like about the fender telecaster. Mexican made. First is the sleak contour body. You know it fits good sitting down or standing. The second is the controls. one volume one tone control one selector switch. What els do you need? not much to get confused about here. The feel of the neck and the size of the neck fits my medium size hands just right. Also the in line tuners make it easy to tune. Less chance of turning the wrong tuner. Gibson people know what I mean. Last of all I t is really about the tone.Just plug it in in and turn It up and you will know what I'm talking about. A talking Fender Telecaster Mexican made. Good enough in the 50's.Good enough now.
Cons: I'm pretty happy with the whole thing. Nothing to cry about here.
Quality: The construction and the Quality of the Fender Telecaster Mexican made is about the best you can get for a guitar in it's price range.

Review Summary: In My opinion the Fender Telecaster Mexican made Is a instrument that cannot be improves on. Sure you can use diffrent woods. better hardware. ect. but you are not going to get one for an affortable price like this poor Man's guitar.

Pros: I LIKE EVERTHING ABOUT THIS GUITAR THE FEEL,THE SOUND,THE WORKMANSHIP IT IS JUST THE BEST GUITAR EVER
Cons: THER IS NOT ONE THING I DON'T LIKE ABOUT THIS GUITAR IT A FENDER (THE BEST)
Quality: THE CONSTRUCTION A-1 THE QUALITY A-1 THE LOOK A-1 THE FEEL A-1 THE SOUND A-1 THE COMPANY WHO MAKES IT A-1

Review Summary: THIS IS A MUST HAVE GUITAR PLAY ONE AND SEE FOR YOUR SELF I GIVE THIS GUITAR A 10 BUT ON THIS SITE A RATEING OF 5 IS THE BEST SO I GIVE IT A 5+
