Hands-on review: ZVEX Effects Fuzz Probe

I found it on rondomusic.com for $259 American. I was wanting a fretless, and didn't feel like spending a ton.

It looked great, it was light, and for the most part sounded great.

I sent it back twice due to a faulty B string. It wasn't sustaining at all, barely produced pitch and buzzed like crazy.

The first one I recieved had some flaws in the finish, but the second one looked perfect. It had a 6 bolt neck, string thru body bridge and two humbuckers. An active/passive switch was a nice touch as well.

I sent the second bass back and asked for a refund due to the poor B string. They were very helpful, and I was kind of disappointed that the bass wasn't as good as the service. I guess you get what you pay for.
