Pedulla Rapture-J2 5 String Reviews 5 / 5 based on 1 reviews1999 model purched new at Guitar Center for $1399
relatively light (8lb), slightly smaller body than standard Jazz bass. Very comfortable string spacing (19mm at bridge, with 1 7/8" nut). Very nice Bartolini pickups and preamp.
The teal finish wouldn'y have been my first choice, but that's probably why this was on sale for half of list price!
Outstanding- Comparable to a Sadowsky or Mike Lull. It was setup perfectly (although I think they should ship these with nickel strings, rather than stainless).
If you a looking for a sweet playing 5 string jazz bass that won't strain your back, this is a great choice. Although it's lightweight, the tone is anything but that. Best sounding low B string in any 34" scale bass I've played. I wasn't in the market for a new bass, but I saw this one on the wall at a clearance sale, tried it out, and within 30 seconds I knew I would't be able to leave the store without it.
