Austin Vintage Rock LP Reviews 4

I paid $220 for this guitar off www.guitarxlab.com They are a dealer of Austin guitars and everything went very well and i received it very quick.

First thing you notice, it looks good. Black cellulose finish has more depth than the average polyurethane finish found on most guitars in this price range. Cream body and neck binding looks great. Gold hardware compliments the black nicely. All in all, Austin was very successful in copying the looks of a les paul. It plays great as well, great action, stays in tune ok, but could benefit from some grovers. Great sustain with set neck. Awesome neck pickup.

the only thing i dont like is the neck pickup. its ok, and definitely usable. but i like my bridge to be a little hotter.

built like a rock. feels solid because it is. no problems in about a year

all in all, great 1st, 2nd, 3rd guitar. The Austin is right up there with expensive epiphones and cheap gibsons. very versatile, sounds great for rock, rockabilly, blues, ska, reggae anything
