The fit and finish were first rate and it was shipped in a nice carton for protection. Once unpacked and tuned up it played wonderfully especially for an entry level guitar. I recently purchased a fender american strat and let me tell you, you get what you pay for. I don't care if you are a beginner you should not subject yourself to trash.
