Purchase: I bought this amp at Music Loft in Greensboro, i'd heard good things about it from reviews, so i bought it. 300 dollars.
Pros: It's the most powerful amp for 300 bucks i could find, so it's pretty loud. There's fourteen channels to chose from, and there's 4 programable presets(probably the best thing about the amp). it's got a tuner that works sometimes, and it's got some effects on it. The price made my pocket happy, and it's got a celestion speaker.
Cons: All the channels sound the same to me, if you mess with the eq. The different channels are supposed to mimic other brands of amps, but they sound nothing like them. the onboard tuner sucks. the eq isn't well balanced, and you have to play with it for awhile to get a partially good sound out of the amp, so it's kinda hit and miss. alltogether, the amp sounds fake to me. kinda like when you want some good cake, but you have to eat some 4 month old mush from a walmart kinda fake. you have to mess with the eq and drive so much for good sound, and i get pissed at the thing like every day, this is where the presets come in handy. on a lucky day, if you find a good setting, you can save it for later. i play in a church band, and it treats me pretty good. you can hear it over a drumset. the celestion speaker sounds aweful if the eq's not set right, and it's got a weird rumbling noise that really gets me mad. fake sounding

Purchase: I purchased the amp through Music 123, after hearing sound bytes on Line 6's web page. The purchase price was $299.99.
Pros: The clean sound is excellent. The "insane"
distortion sound is very good. The reverbs and delays sound great, but the delay is a hassel to adjust. The price is excellent.
Cons: I think the amp sounds artificial. The distorted sound closly resembles a Hot Rodded Marshall, but it lacks the warmth of actual tubes. It sounds electronic instead of natural. You dont have much control over the effects, they are either,
on or off, slow, medium or fast. I think it should come with a footswitch. Their footswitches range in price from $75-$399!
Which is more than I payed for the amp.
Quality: I think it is constructed well for the price. However, I recently purchased a Behringer Ultrabass BX1200 bass amp and its
construction is Much better than the Line 6 Spider II for about the same price. Review Summary: The Line 6 Spider II 112 is a great amp for the price. I would highly recommend it for beginners and as a home practice amp to
anyone at any level.

Purchase: I purchased this amp at the Guitar Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. I was on a budget and wanted something I could gig with and not go broke.
Pros: Where to start? I like everything about this amp. The 12 inch Celestion speaker is loud as all hell and never gets distorted, no matter how high you crank the volume.
All of the amp models are great, you can dial right in to any sound that you want. You can play a praise and worship song at your church, play 50s and 60s rock to impress your Dad, get a nice bluesy-rock sound like Eric Clapton or Jimmy Page, even shred like Megadeth and Old Metallica on this baby.
I like the 7 effects built into the amp, eliminates the need for anything to be on the floor. You can get it all from this amp.
But my favorite thing about the amp are the four user programmable channels. You can create your own preset and store it on the channel. The Spider II even remembers the EQ setting!
I love being able to play a perfectly clean song for my girlfriend then jump right into thrash heaven to rock out with my band, then go into a killer lead sound for solos, then top it off with a little blues sound when I'm in the mood. All of that at the push of a button.
Did I mention the ease of this baby? Everything is right there infront of you, just spin the knobs and get what you want.
Also,the built in tuner is nice. It's not a chromatic tuner, but who really needs to downtune anyway?
Cons: I'm not too big on the insane setting, it just produces feedback and alot of noise for those nu-metal kids into the Slipknot/Mudvayne/Mushroomhead thing.
Also I wish the Chorus and Flanger were two seperate effects instead of one meshed together.
Quality: I've only had the amp for about two weeks, I've lugged around to a friend's house for band practice and I've gigged with it once.
So far it survives being transported without a scratch and it's loud enough to be heard in small bars and clubs. Review Summary: For the money, you don't get anything better. Purchase: Bought it on-line at american musical supply for $299. This is my first amp and it fit right into my budget.
Pros: I was looking for an amp with some effects and versatility. Also, I needed something that I could hear over my sons 50watt Marshall. This was it.
Cons: As advertised the tone is great, but even with 25 less watts, my sons Marshall seems to cut right through a little better during solos.

Pros: It's very loud and a lot of fun to play around with. Tons of effects.
Both the Metal and one of the Insane amp models are really good for thrashing.
Cons: I think I'm in the minority here, but this amp has too much and not enough all at the same time.
It has 12 amp models and none of them really sound like the amp they're trying to emulate. Plus there is no pure, clean channel. Everything has to start at an amp model and go from there.

Purchase: Purchased from Peeler Music in Toledo, OH for $299+tax
Pros: Like the built in amp models - just one turn of the knob gets you a variety of sounds.
Cons: Only wish is that they made the same amp with a 15" speaker, to handle dropped tunings.
Quality: Construction and quality seem good (have had the amp for 1 month now, that's about 60 hours of actual playing time). But only time will tell. Every other "good amp" I have owned has eventually been shaken to pieces (literally). Review Summary: I play Ibanez guitars (RG and S models) with .13 to .60 guage strings tuned down to ADGCEA, and was having trouble finding, for under $300, a 75-100 watt live practice amp that sounded decent at high volumes with the low frequencies. I tried amps under $350 from Crate, Peavey, Randall, Marshall, Fender and Line6. The Spider II 112 sounded best (note: don't confuse this with the 50 watt Spider 112 - this is the 75 watt Spider II 112). It's still not great at keeping a tight bottom-end, but it will suffice. Purchase: Local sam ash store for $299. Got a free guitar because it went over $300 with tax, but ut sux.
Pros: Mostly everything. A ll of the amp models rock except one of the Twangs and one of the Blues.Insane is just as it is named; insane.one of the blues models is actually very good for heavy metal soloing. These are my channels, just to show you the versatality.
A= (clean model #2)perfect clean tone (took lot of eq twisting to find i)
B= (Blues model #2)solo channel (turn the drive boost, which rocks, on or off for metal/clean soloing)
C= (metal model #1 w/no bass)new age grunge type of stuff, like Queens of the stoneage, who by the way rock
D= Insane model #2 w/no mid)total all-out thrash bottom end sh*t
Cons: The chorus/flanger is a little wierd and the cleaner channels always sound louder than the overdriven, but Channel Volume takes care of that. The onboard tuner sucks but no one cares.
Quality: Amazing. It makes my sh*tty cable sound awesome. the knobs act wierd, but will never fall off. Review Summary: Just the modoling tecnology, if put on a multi effect pedal would sell for $200. Just pay an extra hundred for 75 watts, and it sounds louder than that.
