This pedal is a great addition to any person who needs a fat sounding distortion who uses maybe Fender amp or Vox or just about any clean based amp. It's decent as a preamp pedal, but even better if treated as a tube overdrive pedal for high gain stuff. That's where I was really impressed, although the design may not have been intentionally made that way. That's how I used it and that's how I liked it. Very good clean sounds, and really great design and quality. but that's not enough to say the v-twin pedal is a good preamp. there's no use for this distortion channel. going to sell it tomorrow. hope I'll find a cheap mesa quad to replace my pod.www.capa-city.de rated this unit on 2004-04-25.
