Purchase: I'd been visiting a local music store after a long break from playing and was amazed at how much amp technology had changed in a couple years. The Transformer 112 caught my eye and the tones caught my ear. 400 bucks later, and I was hauling it home.
Pros: The 12 amp models are nice and give a wide variety of sounds to begin with, but when you unlock the secret of simulated cabinet switching, then your options are 10 fold. The included foot pedal is well thought out and allows you to recall 16 of your own custom presets plus a "second" custom version of each preset, along with the ability to toggle between 2 custom settings of each effect on every patch. I mean, theres just a ton of options here. The fun part is choosing between all the sounds what you want to store. Once you set up all your patches, its a blast to play through live. Also the ability to save all your favorite settings via midi controlled computer software is a big plus. I really dig this amp. Had it for a year now and no problems.
Cons: Honestly, the thing is just perfect for what its made for. It is "THE" studio or practice amp to have. No complaints.
Quality: Everything is built pretty tough. I've hauled it around a bit to jam at local pubs, and its holding up great. Review Summary: If you are looking for a practice amp or a small gig amp, this thing has lots of options, and is easy to customize and understand and its really hard to create a bad sound with it. Go check one out and I think you'll dig it. I even started a Yahoo group where people could share patches they'd saved. Check it out.

Purchase: I went to a local music store and played around on this amp, I liked it, so I bought it. I paid somewhere around 450 for it.
Pros: This amp is the best amp that I have ever tried. The quality of sound is just increadible. I made my own settings and saved them in a day, and still have more to play with and save. The possibilities seem endless. Peaveys have always been GREAT quality amps, and I have always trusted them. ...AND THEY DELIVERED! The amp has 16 factory presets (you will find your favorite vary fast). It also has a button on it to switch those factorys into user settings. Those you really dont have enough of, Trust me on this. It also has a program you can run on your computer to give you a plethera of great settings. With these you can sound like any of your favorite guitar players.
This amp really is the cream of the crop, and I hope more people are lucky enough to enjoy its capabilities.
Cons: This amp, although really powerful, loud, and useful, has two minor things that have set me back.
1-The pedal that comes with it doesn't have a user button to switch from user, to factory if need be.
I have wanted to do this many times but was struck by the fack I had to stop playing reach down and hit the button with my finger, or try and coordinate myself with my foot.
2-The program that you can get for this amp to give you more sounds, and settings...I'm haveing lots of trouble finding out what it is, let a lone where to get it and how much it is. It is supposed to go to the midi in on your amp, and the USB, or game port of the computer.
Quality: Its very solid and supports me sitting on it when I plug my headphones in, and the quality is outstanding. Review Summary: All in all this amp is the cream of the crop. I recommend it to anyone that is a little bit experienced with playing the guitar.

Purchase: I paid 500.00$ I was looking for a solidstate with a good clean sound. Well I bumped into this and the cleans were really nice. Distortions weren't that bad either.But what really drew me to this was its clean sounds and quality of effects.
Pros: My likes
1.Very loud for a 50 watt solidstate amp and sounds good at high volumes.
2. cleans and effects are outstanding.
3. built pretty good for money could be better but who theese days who are building solid amps for about five bills.
4. effect return takes my effect modeling devices with killer results.
Cons: My Dislikes
1. Distortions sounds could be warmer to me
2. Models are not that close don't buy this amp if your looking mimic amp model sounds not complete disliking them thay all have a peavey sound to them but do sound good.

Purchase: Howdy folks, and welcome to a fast-paced look at Peavey's new modeling amp, The Transformer 112--sounds impressive, hmm? It is...a single 12 in a great looking combo package, with not only preset classic amp sounds inside (british crunch, Marshall stack, you name it), but hidden features, like a secret (but not so secret) speaker modeling feature for closed back versus open back cabinet--wowsers, I was in looove! This is the baby brudder of the line, and at 50 watts, kicks considerable ass, single or double coil guy, whatever I played (Tele, Strat, and a PRS McCarty), it sounded convincing and loud! The list of add-ons is a long one, but suffice it to say that the FREE foot pedal is beautifully designed, and at a retail under $450, it's a real winner. Thanks to Peavey for the test model, and rock on!
Pros: Everything I tried in it sounded good, and you can easily tweak the settings for realistic rotary speaker, delay, and tons of overdrive, both ptre and post gain. Peavey rules!
Cons: I tried really hard, but couldn't find a damn thing to dislike about this unit...
Quality: High quality wood cabinet with a great looking black and red motif, very light in weight, wit de beeeeg sound! Purchase: I bought this amp at a local music store - Sodja Music. I looked around for a while and picked this amp because it is loaded withi features. I have to admit I was a bit leary about Peavey only because I didn't have much experience with their products. I paid $530 for the Transformer 112.
Pros: This amp has a bunch of effects built in and can replicate almost any amp sound. There are 16 factory presets and space for you to store 16 others. The controls on the front of the unit are easy to understand and I was familiar with everything in 1 night of messing around with it. The unit comes with a foot switch that allows you to switch between all the saved presets and user settings. The foot switch looks a little confusing at first, but is really simple to operate. The sound out of this amp is really nice too. I've never owned a Marshall or a Fender amp, but it knocks the socks off of my Roland amp.
Cons: The only thing that bugs me is the power switch is on the back. I know I'm being picky, but that is really the only thing that I don't like.
Quality: This amp is solid - I think it weighs in at around 50 pounds and the construction is superior. Review Summary: If you're looking for an amp that will give you a lot of bang for the buck, this one is for you. It is a little more pricey than some of the other Peavey models (e.g. the Bandit), but you are really getting a lot for your money. It has a delay, distortion, phaser, tremlo, reverb, chorus, flanger and a few other effects I can't remember off the top of my head included.
