Sony MDR 7506 Headphones Reviews 5

Even when a product is not the latest release from a company, its reliability and quality always makes reviewing it worthwhile. Back in 2001, when I first moved to the NY, this pair of Sony headphones was the piece of gear that kept my mind sane. Providing me enjoyable subway rides, walks at the park, and especially protecting my ears from brother-in-law late night techno music sessions. Not that I don’t like electronic music, but when you have to wake early the next morning, you really don’t want to try to all asleep with such music in the background. Besides protecting me from the noisy NYC surroundings, these headphones were the first ones to bring clarity and the beauty of music to my ears. Surprisingly, even after 9 years of hardcore usage, they are still working formidably.

I purchased these Sony headphones semi-new for only $50 at the time from a friend of mine. They can be found currently around $99 or less.

In the beginning I only used them for listening and enjoying music, which they are really great at. After I started acquiring recording gear and making demos, I really understood how awesome they are. For being one of the cheapest Sony headphones in the market, they still give great sound clarity with plenty of bass and defined highs. They also give great noise isolation while being super comfortable to wear.

The MDR7506 large diaphragm foldable headphones are designed for professional studio and live/broadcast applications. PRODUCT FEATURES: Rugged Design; Folding Construction; 40 mm Driver Unit; Closed-Ear Design; Stereo Unimatch Plug; Gold Connectors and OFC Cord; Supplied Soft Case.

These headphones have a superb sound clarity and quality and are sold for a very affordable price. Perfect for music lovers as well as for professionals working in any audio areas.
