All in all I don't really recommend this guitar due to how inconsistent they can be. The older ones I've seen seem to have really bad fretwork and finishing, with poor setups and even worse pickups. At new this guitar comes in at around $200, which included the amp and guitar strap, gig bag, pick selection, and tuner. It is a starter kit and I understand that but the only people that would go for this is the beginner. The Fender Squier Affinity Strat is a bargain-priced (less than $150) guitar for someone looking for the Fender sound and vibe without breaking the bank. Plays well right out of the box and a great alternative to those no-name Strat clones almost very music store seems to have. [read more on Audiofanzine]
