Washburn XB102Q Reviews 5

I got this sweet bass at Sam Ash in a package deal. The whole package was $230 otherwise the guitar alone is $169.

It has both styles of pickups and has a really cool quilted finish. This guitar also stays in tune very well.

I have no problems with this guitar.

It is solid wood and has a rosewood fretboard. It is lightweight and can take alot and is very solid. A well built guitar overall. I don't know much else.

This bass is good for anyone, begginer to pro. It is light and easy on the sholders for long playing times and has a clear tone. And with both types of pickups you can have a wide range of sounds and tones.

Six months ago I needed to find a bass guitar as I was forced to sell my old Ibanez Roadstar II for financial reasons. After several hours of web surfing I found the Washburn 102Q at Music 123. It was mine for a mere $145, but let me tell you it is worth twice that. Everyday that I pick it up it still feels like I just took it out of the box.

It is so comfortable to play. The neck is about the same size as a 6 string guitar and the action is very smooth. I traditionally play different styles of music depending on my mood. With its 2 pickups and unbelievable tone control, I can use it for ANY style of music.

My only complaint would not be with the bass itself but with the fact that there is no such thing as a XB1025Q. I love this bass so much that would love to have one in a 5 string version as well.

With the combination of jazz, and precision pickups the unit delivers a wide variety of sounds. The tone control is simply unbelievable. The bass tone is very warm and the treble is high and tight, and obviously you can find all points in between. The quilt top is mesmerizing! It just calls me over to pick it up, every night after work.

From funk to metal, alternative to jazz this bass delivers the goods. I am just so thankful, and still a bit amazed that I could find this great work of art, at such a reasonable price! I pick it up everyday and even after 6 months it still feels as exciting and new as the first day I took it out of the box.
