Washburn LX 20 Reviews 4

I was looking for a good, inexpensive electric to start playing. I starting looking around my local shops and came across this guitar. He was selling it as a package deal. I got the guitar, 8 watt amp, strap, cable, and picks for $169.99.

The action is fast and the body is light. I was astounded by the sound quality this guitar puts out. The guitar sounds great even when distorted. The five way switching allows a lot of range. The two single coil pickups and humbucker give an awesome rock sound.

Lets face it, it's neither a Fender Strat or a Gibson SG. The craftmanship could be better and the type of wood could be better. But you get what you pay for.

As stated before it could be better. For the price of the guitar the construction and quality are excellent.

For a beginner guitar I highly recommend this guitar. Just remember it is a lower end guitar and don't expect too much. It seems to be a better deal than a Squier or Epiphone. Before buying a guitar go around to different shops and try some out and pick what you like best.
