Recording King Custom Shop Now Accepting Orders

Recording King has opened a custom shop for handcrafted banjo and acoustic guitar orders in the U.S. and Japan. The Recording King Custom Shop offers anyone custom features on best-selling Recording King products. Orders can be placed for changes in components, finishes or specifications — the possibilities are endless.

Cliff Fitch, one of the most well-respected banjo builders in the industry, heads the U.S. custom shop. He brings with him more the decade of experience building custom banjos.

Scott Zimmerman, one of the great international builders, heads the Asian custom shop in Japan. He is known for his supremely crafted Desert Rose banjos and his popular banjo bridges.

At IBMA’s World of Bluegrass show in October, Recording King unveiled a custom banjo model by Fitch. The banjo was a Recording King Professional model with an antiqued finish and reshaped resonator and neck.

With Fitch’s unique aging process, many show goers couldn’t distinguish between this custom model and a museum quality banjo from 1920’s.

For custom shop orders in the U.S., contact Cliff Fitch at fitchbanjos@att.net. Orders in Asian can be placed by contacting Scott Zimmerman at scott@sugiguitars.com.

Recording King is the manufacturer of resonator banjos, open back banjos, acoustic guitars and cowboy art guitars. For more information on Recording King, visit recordingking.com.
