NS Designs couples with D'Addario to produce strings(Dave Molter | Posted 2009-12-16)  NS Designs, producer of the popular NS Design upright basses, has announced a partnership with DfAddario to produce a full range of NS Electric strings for bass guitars and double bass as well as for violin, viola, and cello. The smooth-polished Omni Bass strings will also any standard 34-35 bass guitar, and according to NS Designs, produce "a rich bass tone and clear singing upper register." Upright bass strings are available in the NS Standard Double Bass string length (46.5 wound, 54 overall). The Traditional Double Bass set offers warm tone and great bowed response; the Contemporary Double Bass set produces a brighter sound and haslower tension.
