Ibanez announces Gerald Veasley 6 signature bass

New from Ibanez at NAMM 2010 is the GVB1006 six-string bass, designed for noted jazz bassist Gerald Veasley.
The GVB1006 features an Alder body with a Figured Maple top and with 3-piece, 24-fret Maple/Wenge neck. The GVB1006 has a special string spacing of 14mm at the bridge, compared to our usual 16.5mm spacing, allowing bassists to play chords with ease. Personally, I would find 14mm spacing just too tight, but each to his own.
Bartolini® Custom GVB pickups and the Aguilar OPB-3 3-band preamp come standard. The 34-inch scale bass is crafted in Japan and comes with a hardshell case.
